WELCOME TO THE HOME PAGE OF SANDGATE DOLPHIN.CO.UK

It was very near to Easter 2006 when Dave arrived in Sandgate.
One sunny morning in April Dave and two other Dolphins
appeared off Granville Parade just a few metres from the shore.
For the next few weeks he was often seen swimming
along the reef between Seabrook and Folkestone Pier
and sometimes as far west as Hythe.
His two companions also return occasionally but it is Dave
who seems to have made Sandgate and the reef near the
lower road his home.
He can be seen daily, “grazing” in a leisurely way
upon the reef and sometimes can be found in the mood for play,
as our pictures and videos can show.
Nevertheless Dave is “His own Dolphin” HE chooses to play with US
and when he does we are all very grateful for it.
This website hopes to share some of the experience of
meeting with Dave The Dolphin.
